    How to read reference pressure: Reference pressure translates wind speed into a common aerodynamic pressure scale at standard air density. “psf” means pounds of force per square foot. Because pressure increases with the square of speed, doubling wind speed produces four times the reference pressure. The ratio compares the incident-period peak with the median historical reported gust.

    More ways to work

    Find and refine a location

    Choose Address or Coordinates in the Location section. Coordinates use decimal degrees, with a minus sign for south or west. Find location previews the point without creating a case. Move the site pin as needed and use Update site from map to retain the selected location.

    When the exact time is unknown

    Use Exact time unknown when only the incident date is established. You can refine the incident time later from case details when better information becomes available.

    Use station and map layers

    Wind, Precipitation, and Events are separate map layers. Review station observations and official reports alongside the subject-site pin.

    Incident window
    Choose 6, 24, or 72 hours above the map. Wind and storm reports include one hour after the incident; precipitation ends at the incident. The displayed dates show the full period.
    Historical context
    Review earlier NOAA storm reports using the year controls.
    Custom dates
    Set a separate date range for NOAA storm reports without changing the incident date.

    Historical context and Custom dates do not change the station-weather period. A 15- or 30-year wind rose is built separately.

    One case, one matter. Every purchased case covers its original site and incident. Legitimate corrections are allowed; a different matter requires another case.

    Demonstration case. The open case was provided as a one-case, seven-day demonstration. Its reports carry a demonstration watermark.

    Membership, saved cases, and unused case credits are separate. Case credits are not a report limit. MFA is optional for customers, required once enabled, and always required for administrators. Privacy policy.
